Our Witches Brew Punch was family-friendly, so it could be enjoyed by all. See our Spooky Drinks page for the recipe! We took our Signature Snack Trio and added candy eyes to the yogurt pretzels with cookie icing, and instead of gummy bears, we used gummy worms.
The Mac-O’-Lantern was a showstopper! Homemade macaroni and cheese is baked in a Bundt pan to give it the pumpkin shape. Pour reserved cheese sauce on top and finish with a broccoli stem. It’s fun, exciting, and most importantly, delicious! Recipe from Food Network. Notes on the recipe: we used three cans of 12 oz. evaporated milk, 8 oz. of American cheese (cut into pieces), 8 oz. of sharp cheddar cheese, and 8 oz. of mild cheddar cheese. We don’t love using food coloring, so we left that out and just used all orange cheeses.
We wanted to incorporate some fall flavors into the spread, and we needed something that could travel. since we hosted this party at our friend Julie’s house. This Fall Pasta Bake hit the mark! We adapted this recipe from Food Network by adding in roasted butternut squash to give it more color and flavor. It’s cheesy, savory, and satisfying!
We wanted to have some quick snacks available for the kids, but we wanted them to still have some spooky fun! Boo Cheese Sticks & Clementine Jack-O’-Lanterns are so easy to do and have a big impact. Use a permanent marker to draw faces on the clementines and cheese sticks. If you have older kids, have them help you prep these!
We love any excuse to make these Best Ever Brownies! We made the same recipe from The Vanilla Bean Blog that we used for our Game Day Party. To add a spooky touch, we did marshmallow cob webs! We’d seen lots of videos on social of people adding marshmallow to cakes and cupcakes for Halloween. It looked a lot easier that it was. We heated the marshmallows in the microwave to melt and then used nonstick spray on our hands to keep the marshmallows from sticking. When we tried to spread, the marshmallows weren’t sticking to the brownies as well as we wanted them to. Ultimately, they came out great, but next time, we might just use cookie icing to get a similar effect. We loved the final look, but wow, it was messy!
To keep the kids entertained, we set up Halloween games and a photo booth. We also made coloring cards using our Cricut. We love to customize these coloring cards to fit the theme of the party!
