We love getting family and friends together for brunch. This brunch menu is perfect for Christmas morning or a way to kick off the holiday season! With easy and delicious food plus the perfect tablescape, you and your guests will be full of holiday cheer.

For the table, we used our party trick of wrapping paper as the table runner. We love the Sugar Paper wrapping paper at Target for the holidays! Next, we added gold chargers, white plates, and glasses. For napkins, we used hunter green velvet with a bow napkin ring (also from Sugar Paper). Our showstopper centerpiece was Candy Cane Flowers! Finally, we dotted the table with sparkly bottlebrush tress and mercury glass votive candles.

Our Winter Fruit Salad is sweet and merry with all the red and green! We mixed red and green apples and pears then topped with lime juice, a bit of honey, fresh mint, and pomegranate seeds. It’s a fresh and festive side dish!

Winter Fruit Salad
1 red apple
1 green apple
1 green pear
2 red pears
juice from 1 lime, freshly squeezed 
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp chopped mint
2 Tbsp pomegranate seeds

Chop apples and pears in to bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl. Add lime juice and honey. Mix to combine. Top with mint and pomegranate seeds.

This Savory Butternut Squash Crostata is always a huge hit! Not only is it beautiful with bright green arugula and ruby red pomegranate seeds, it tastes amazing. A flaky pie crust with herbed cheese (we recommend Boursin) and roasted butternut squash topped with crunchy pistachios and peppery arugula. We top the arugula with a little olive oil and flaked sea salt before adding the pomegranate seeds.

Sausage and Gruyere Egg Bites are perfect for brunch. We’ve been making this recipe for years, but we decided to switch it up with a muffin pan to get easy, individual servings. Cook time for muffin pan should be about 20 mins. If you use a square pan, it will bake for 30 – 35 mins.

Cardamom Buns have been a favorite breakfast treat in our family for years! When Erin came back from Sweden raving about this pastry that was like a cinnamon roll but somehow better with fragrant cardamom and fluffy bread, Elaine knew she had to try to make them at home. The process of twisting up these sweet little knots takes some practice, but trust us, it’s worth it! Use a good quality cardamom for this recipe since it’s the star (we recommend The Spice House).

coffee bar

We set up a fun and festive Coffee Bar to go along with all of our delicious holiday food. Guests can make their own coffees, lattes, and espressos with spices and flavored syrups. For our bar, we set out large coffee cups and espresso cups with milk and cream. Then we added regular simple syrup and cardamom simple syrup. These glass containers are great for the milk and cream, and we used these for the simple syrups. We love our Nespresso Machine and Milk Frother. These machines are built to last and make a delicious cup of espresso!
